
John and Anthoula Fragopoulos, together with their children Anthony and Catherine, have established Fishco Downunder since 1997. Having been in the Fish and Seafood industry for over 40 years, John has developed a reputation for successfully purchasing the best quality seafood at the lowest possible price.John makes frequent trips to the Sydney Fish Markets, however in the interest of eliminating the middle-man, John prefers to source our stock personally and makes regular trips to various locations within Australia including the south-east coast, Queensland and South Australia, to buy direct from suppliers and actually ‘hand-pick’ our products.We have a stable of regular suppliers who are mostly made up of Fishermen, but also include Oyster and Prawn Farmers, and Aquaculturists. We are constantly searching for new products and reliable suppliers to add to our wide range of seafood products. All our suppliers are HACCP accredited and guarantee that the products we offer you are of the best quality and value for money.
As the Manager of Fishco Downunder, Anthony is responsible for the day-to-day business of managing staff, product presentation and stock, wholesale orders and deliveries, and most importantly Customer Satisfaction. He is also Seafood Industry – Aquaculture trained and Certified, and is therefore responsible for the humane care and management of our Live stock.
At Fischo Downunder you will not only find the largest available variety of Fresh Seafood in the ACT and region, but you can also select to fish out of our tanks your own Lobster, Barramundi, Silver Perch, Trout, Mud Crab, or Eel! (to name just a few). Our family participates in all areas of the business with a particular focus on Customer Satisfaction and Quality Control.
